About Dr. Chris Connor

Dr. Chris Connor grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, and graduated from Lincoln East High School prior to studying Biological Sciences at the University of Nebraska. After earning his bachelor’s degree, he moved south to Memphis, Tennessee, and earned his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in 2016.

While earning his doctorate, Dr. Connor served as a clinical teaching assistant, volunteered with Remote Area Medical, and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. As part of his clinical training, Dr. Connor completed rotations at Omaha Eye & Laser Institute, The Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry, and at a private practice in Kansas City, Missouri. He began his professional career in the Kansas City area prior to returning to Omaha in 2018.

He is a member of the Nebraska Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He is a volunteer board member with the Radio Talking Book Service, a Nebraska organization providing reading services to the blind, visually impaired, and elderly.

Dr. Connor is married to fellow optometrist, and Grand Island native, Dr. Sara Petska. Together they enjoy traveling, running, Husker sports, and spending time with their young son and two rescue mutts.
